Listed below are the subcontract animal laws for Pueblo City, Pueblo Due west, and the Reserve in Pueblo West. All laws listed hither are every bit of February 2017. Pueblo City

Sec. xi-4-32. – Nuisances; certain fowl and animals.

(a)It is hereby declared to be a nuisance, and it shall exist unlawful and a municipal criminal offence for whatever person to suffer or allow any chicks, chickens, geese, ducks or turkeys, or any hare or hares, rabbit or rabbits, or cavy or cavies owned or controlled by such person to run at large or to go upon the bounds of any other person in the Metropolis.

(b)It is hereby declared to be a nuisance, and it shall exist unlawful and a municipal offense for any person to keep or maintain any chicks, chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, pigeons, doves or squabs in an enclosed structure or building within 8 (8) anxiety of the property line of whatsoever adjacent improved lot or bundle of land or in an unenclosed structure or open pen or run within xv (15) feet of such property line or, whether enclosed or unenclosed, within fifty (l) feet of any domicile other than that occupied by such person.

(c)Information technology is hereby declared to be a nuisance, and it shall exist unlawful and a municipal criminal offense for whatsoever person to proceed or maintain any hare or hares, rabbit or rabbits, or cavy or cavies in any structure, enclosed or unenclosed, within 10 (ten) feet of the belongings line of any bordering improved lot or bundle of land or within forty (40) feet of any dwelling other than that occupied by such person.

(d)It is hereby declared to be a nuisance, and it shall be unlawful and a municipal offense for any person to keep or maintain in the City more than ten (ten) "standard" chickens or x (10) "bantam" chickens over the age of four (iv) months. A "bantam" chicken is i which weighs less than thirty (30) ounces at maturity. A "standard" chicken is any chicken other than a "bantam" chicken equally herein defined.

Sec. 11-four-33. – Prohibited animals.

(a)It is hereby declared to be a nuisance, and it shall be unlawful and a municipal criminal offence for any person to go on, pasture or maintain in the Metropolis any wild animals, poisonous snakes, constricting snakes over twelve (12) feet in length, hogs, pigs, swine, sheep, horses, emus, rheas, ostriches, llamas, cattle, pea fowl, guinea hens or goats, except in a public zoo; except that hogs, pigs, swine, sheep, horses, cattle, pea fowl, republic of guinea hens or goats may exist kept upon land zoned for agronomical utilize, provided that said animals are kept, pastured and maintained in compliance with this Chapter and all applicable ordinances of the City.

Pueblo Due west

Per Sandra Casaus (719-547-9661), January 2019:

  • No more than than 12 chickens allowed, only on properties zoned A-3 and are at least i acre
    • Roosters are not allowed on any belongings in Pueblo West
    • Search your address for zoning
  • Goats and all other farm animals (except horses) are not allowed on whatever property
  • Exceptions may be made for those having small children currently enrolled in a youth programme. Approval must be obtained by the Pueblo West Committee of Compages and requires an entreatment process.

Note: Pueblo West in its entirety is a covenant controlled community. All the same, for tracts that are 90% built out, theCommittee of Architecture no can longer enforce the covenant. I instance of this build out is the mobile abode communities.

Outdated regulations per the online Bylaws:

Eastward. Land Use Areas – Residential

In addition to the preceding provisions, the follow ing shall be applicable to R-i, R-3, R-4, R-5 and R-6 areas as defined in the Pueblo County Zoning Resolution. Livestock, Poultry and Pets

No animals, livestock or poultry of whatsoever kind shall be raised, bred or kept on any lot, except that dogs, cats or other household pets may be kept provided they are not kept, bred or maintained for any commercial purposes and are not kept in quantities which create an annoyance or nuisance to the neighborhood.

Pueblo West- The Reserve

iii.9 Prohibited Animals. Except as noted below, simply household pets and horses shall exist permitted on residential lots. Other animals shall exist prohibited, including merely not limited to pigs, goats, cattle, fowl, poultry, llamas, and exotic animals. An Possessor may use for a special exemption to the Committee for permission to keep a prohibited animal provided exemption is for a special project for a iv-H Society or school projection. a. Cruel, or Habitually Barking or Howling Animals are not permitted. b. Pursuant to agreement with the Pueblo West Metropolitan Commune, Declarant shall have the right to temporarily maintain a modest number of cattle on undeveloped portions of the property. As the development is phased-in for additional residential lots, the new residential areas shall fall under the same above prohibitions

Pueblo West- Mobile Dwelling house Parks (all)

Per the Pueblo West Metropolitan Commune COA, as of Feb 2017, poultry of any kind are Non permitted. This includes all mobile home parks in Pueblo West, including those with their own HOA.
